Hi friends,
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Do you have scrap wood laying around. If you are like us, you probably do. Well go ahead and grab a piece and make this super simple Cricut Christmas Decor

So, this is the first side, did I mention it was double sided? Let me share what I did. I had the hubby spray paint the wood for me, so much faster than using a brush 🙂 I took scrapbook paper can cut it a little smaller then the wood, I adhered it to the wood using modpodge. I make my own by mixing two parts glue to one part water, works just as good as the real stuff!
You want to apply a THIN layer of modpodge to the wood, then apply your paper. Add more modpodge over the paper (again, a thin layer(. If you find air bubbles, dip your finger in the modpodge and push the bubbles out.
I did both sides of the wood the same way, allowing one side to dry completely.
Inside Cricut Design Space,, I created a template the same size as my paper, found some sayings I liked, and just like that we have DIY Christmas Decor.
Here is the other side:

I did Christmas on both sides. I also did not add any 3d embellishments, this way I wouldn’t need to worry about anything falling off and makes it much easier to store!
For the lettering, I just used card stock. I applied a thin layer of modpodge to the paper, added the lettering, then applied more modpodge over the lettering. That easy!
Hope you give it a try, it was really easy.
Hugs, Stacy
