Thanks so much for stopping by today. I want to share a REDO of a clay pot bird feeder we made years ago!
I made this one with a few improvements. First, you want to drill a hole in the saucer. No need for a special drill bit, this is the one my husband used.
When you are drilling through the saucer, you want to have water on the saucer, this prevents the clay from cracking.
When you ready to assemble, (after decorating), you want to take your cord (we used paracord) which you can find HERE, you do not want to use twine, it will get brittle and break.
Take a good amount of the cord, fold it in half, insert the loop end through the bottom of the saucer then through the hole in the clay pot. Tie a few knots on the other end, to make sure it doesn’t slip through the hole.
Take E6000 glue, and adhere the two pots together. I also used hot glue (only in a few spots) for an immediate hold because the E6000 takes a few days to fully cure.
That is it! Fill with bird seed, hang in a a tree and sit back and enjoy the birds!

Hope you have a great day. Hugs, Stac’
