Today we are using the Brother Scan N Cut along with a FREE SVG file to apply vinyl to a mug.
I got the FREE SVG HERE! It is for personal use only! Just scroll down the page a bit and you will see the download link. I first cleaned my mug using rubbing alcohol to get all the yucky oil and dirt off, then cut the vinyl. I have an SDX225F Brother machine, which has the half cut feature. It cut the vinyl like a dream. I used Oracal 651 permanent vinyl..
Even though it is permanent, it is NOT food safe. This can go in the dishwasher, top rack!
Note: Once I brought the design into the Canvas Workspace, it was not grouped together. Be sure to group together before moving the design. I used an 11 ounce mug, so I sized the grouped design at 3.25 in height
Looks pretty good huh? I did do both sides of the mug with the vinyl. But if you know me, you know that I occasionally have goof ups! So I did not disappoint. I weeded both designs and set the first one aside while I weeded the second design. Well, silly me, laid it on my table vinyl side down, so it did stick a little to the table.
I tried fixing it, but was making it worse. So, I thought, I will just cut off the crinkly vinyl and no big deal!
Do ya see the goof? Part of the H is missing. Oh well, I still love it. Good thing I am right handed, so the goof up is facing me.

Hope you enjoy and have a great day! Hugs, Stac’
