Today we are trying the WRMK vinyl print press kit again, this time on placemats.
It worked , but was not perfect!
It was very tricky to place the placemat under the screen because the screen wasn’t able to close that well. This is the result of me trying it:
This is a 100% polyester placemat. I think I pressed to hard when I did this, plus the ink bled through the back. Not terrible, after all no one really sees the back right?
So, I called the hubby and had him try it:
His did turn out a lot better than mine did, even though he missed part of the M.
Overall, I think this unit requires a little bit of practice. Out of the box when I tried it on a t-shirt, it came out really well.
Luckily, I have 4 more of these placemats that I can try it on.
I used adhesive vinyl with a design I found inside Cricut Design Space. You want to place the vinyl on your mat with the vinyl side facing up and then mirror the image in the software. This part is very easy to do. Apply it to the screen on the flush side. When you are finished with the design, simply remove the vinyl and wash the screen before the paint dries.
