Thanks so much for stopping by today! I wanted to talk about the Print Press from WRMK that aired on HSN as a today’s special. I think I am in love!
I did struggle a little bit with applying the vinyl to the screen, but now that I have done it once, I think next time will be easier.
It is very easy to use, and I really like the results.
This is what the Print Press looks like:
I first tired it on card stock:
And quickly discovered I used to much paint, that is why it looks a little worpy.
Next I tried felt:
I probably should have used a different color paint with the felt, but it did adhere well. Next, I tried it on a piece of hardboard, (like the backing of a picture frame) I did not wash the screen before changing colors.
Next was a drawstring backpack:
That one turned out really well. Next was a pajama shirt:
This is my favorite, I think it turned out so nice. I heat set it with an iron, and washed and dried as normal with the print on the inside, and it held up just fine! Here it is after:
My overall opinion, after struggling a little bit with applying the vinyl to the screen, it is really easy to use. It is small, portable, and very lightweight.
The overall unit measures about 15 inches wide, by 19 inches tall and under 2 inches high. Very easy to store when not in use. I did watch a video on Youtube with Beth Kingston showing this unit. She said you are able to take the top off, or detach it. I tried and I was not able to do it. I had my husband look at it, and he was not able to do it either, in fear of breaking the clips that hold it on. I will look into that for you.
i washed the screen after using, it was easy to clean but the vinyl had some staining which should not interfere with the screen printing process.
Well, what do ya think? I am excited about it and happy I ordered it. Looking forward to trying it on different things and for home decor. I will be doing a video later this week showing how to make our own designs using regular adhesive vinyl, that is removable.
